Was James Burk ATF Arrested? Charges And Past Crime Records And Tased By Colombian Police
ATF agent James Burk was on the move after he uncovered proof of police misbehavior and filed a complaint against them.
Officers from the Columbus Police Department tased and arrested ATF Agent James Burk after he defied orders.
The complaint is related to an event on July 7, 2020, in which ATF special agent James Burk claims that two Columbus Police officers tased and arrested him as he attempted to do official duties.
Was James Burk ATF Arrested?
James Burk, an ATF agent, was taken under arrest and tased by two police officers in Columbus, Ohio. James Burk was tased and arrested by Columbus Police after he refused orders.

Burk says the incident occurred while he was working on a regular assignment. According to the lawsuit, Burk tried to locate an illegal shotgun dressed in “casual professional” clothes.
When ATF Agent Burk refused orders to provide identification or “get on the ground,” Officer Fihe, who had arrived first, was shown pulling his handgun on him on the video.
When Officer Winchell came, he quickly drew on Agent Burk. ATF Agent Burk was merely handcuffed on one wrist when Columbus Officer Joseph Fihe produced his taser.
Burk was then tased by Officer Fihe, allowing them to finish handcuffing him and taking his rifle. Officer Fihe grabbed Agent Burk’s firearm and placed it on the front dash as Burk continued to argue from the backseat of the police car.
Officer Fihe spoke with the woman who initially dialed 911 about ATF agent Burk, who had reportedly arrived at her home unannounced to follow up on a shotgun purchase and demanded admission.
James Burk was arrested in 2015 for allegedly stealing $200 worth of wine from a Kroger store in Landen, Ohio, as it was being caught on camera.

ATF Agent Tased By Colombian Police: What Are His Charges?
James Burk, an ATF special agent, alleges that while attempting to do official duties, two Columbus Police officers tased and detained him.
According to the allegation, Burk was trying to seize a weapon being held illegally. In this case, Burk claims the two pointed their guns at him, roughed him up, tased him, and then handcuffed him before finally checking his credentials although he had his hands up and had credentials in his pocket.

Burk was then imprisoned for nearly an hour by the police officers after being forced into the rear seat of a police car.
James Burk was prosecuted by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office in 2015 for stealing more than $200 worth of wine from the Landen Kroger.
Deputies said that in August, they observed Burk using the self-checkout and paid $19 for four bottles of wine worth $222.
Where Is James Burk Now?
For the past 16 years, James Burk has been employed with the organization. He works at the Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms Bureau.
In accordance with a federal complaint, two Columbus police officers are accused of using their positions of power against the under investigation agent. A federal agent is the one who filed the complaint.
On July 7, 2021, he claimed in front of the judge that he was taking part in “regular” activity. He went to a house in the 3300 block of Edgebrook Drive near Dublin in the afternoon of that day to take a shotgun from someone who was not allowed to have a gun in their possession.
Burk was claimed to have been dressed adequately for the position he held by donning business casual apparel, keeping his credentials in his pocket, and wearing an ID card around his neck, according to the civil action.
