Jason Holder Parents Denise Holder And Jason Holder Signed Him For Cricket Programmes

Jason Holder owes his career to parents Ronald Holder and Denise Holder. Ronald and Denise signed him up for cricket camps and programs. 

Jason was three when his parents divorced after having two children. His father later remarried Lynda and had son Cody.

The cricketer lived with his dad, stepmother, and two siblings growing up. Even so, his bond with his biological mother has always remained unbreakable. She has always had her children’s back at every step of their lives.

Before he boards the bus for his games, Denise always sends him a text wishing him luck.

Despite going separate ways and moving on with new partners, Ronald and Denise co-parented their two sons with unconditional love and care. They taught Jason values, morals and to save for things they wanted.

Jason Holder was born to Barbadian parents Denise and Ronald Holder in 1991.

Holder started playing cricket at eight years old after his father signed him up for summer camp in the Empire sports club. His international career was launched after his mother, Denise, enrolled him in the junior cricket program at Wanderers’ Cricket Club after seeing his talent.

While his older brother Andre pursued basketball, he chose to play cricket. With a height of 6 ft 7 in, he could have easily excelled in the sport, but cricket was where his heart lay. He gets his height from his parents. Holder’s mother stands tall at 6 ft 1 in, and his father stands at 6ft 4 in.

The elder Holders supported their child consistently as he was the first in their family to love and pursue cricket professionally. 

Denise would join other mothers to raise funds so their sons under 13 could go on tour to England. However, her baby was tallest and youngest then, so she would carry Jason’s birth certificate to prove he was only nine.

Jason Holder Father Ronald Holder Is A Scuba Diver

Jason Holder and his father Ronald Holder are supporters of the West Indies Team. Ronald hopes Jason will be renowned like Desmond Haynes one day.

Jason’s father has several hobbies, and the proud dad of three sons is a certified scuba diver.

Ronald loves photography and is a member of the Barbados Photographic Society. When he is not clicking pictures, he fancies flying model aircraft on weekends with his friends. 

Jason Holder has always remained grateful to his father, Ronald Holder (in the picture), for everything he did to support his dream.

The elder Holder works as a grandmaster at Barbados Rifle and Pistol Federation shooting range. Likewise, he also considers himself a builder who builds his house decors. 

Ronald has given birth to three talented sons. His eldest son Andre excelled in basketball and secured a scholarship. Since getting a degree, he has returned home and currently works at Foster & Ince. He is 32 years old.

Likewise, he grew a seed that blossomed into an outstanding cricket player. His second child, Jason, captained the West Indies cricket team from 2015 to 2020. His youngest son, Cody, is 15 years old and studied at Harrison College.

Jason Holder Was Three Years Old When His Parents Divorced

Jason Holder was three years old when his parents divorced in 1995. Jason had yet to enter primary school.

Ronald and Denise remained on good terms to look after their children and always remained supportive, although they moved on in their lives after getting divorced.

Ronald remarried Lynda in October 1999, four years after the divorce. Lynda worked as the Transport Board’s marketing and corporate communications manager. Jason and his older brother Andre grew up with their father and stepmother and spent lots of time with their mother. 

Lynda contributed significantly to Jason and Andre’s upbringing; she always loved them and forever will. The siblings have another brother from their father’s remarriage, Cody, who attended Harrison College.
