Jeremy Pang And His Famous Malaysian Chicken Curry, What You Need To Know About The Chef

Born in Darlington, Jeremy Pang comes from three generations of Chinese chefs. Growing up among culinary enthusiasts gave him the foundation for his early love of cooking and cuisine.

Being the only leap year baby born in Darlington in 1984, Jeremy was making headlines in the local media before he could even speak. So, his age is 38 years as of 2022.

The Pang family soon relocated to London, where Jeremy and his two older sisters were raised.

Between the ages of 10 and 12, Jeremy resided in Singapore, where he began to enjoy and prepare food from hawker centers.

Pang is an extremely talented chef. He has created many recipes throughout his career. One of his famous dishes is Malaysian Chicken Curry. He has posted its recipe on the website of School Of Wok along with the necessary ingredients. 

To make the Chicken Curry, curry paste should be prepared first. First of all, garlic, chillies, lemongrass, ginger, shallots, and turmeric should be blended in a food processor.

A teaspoon of vegetable oil should be heated in a heavy pan before the spices are dry-roasted until fragrant. Add the curry paste and stir for just a few minutes until aromatic over medium heat.

Two teaspoons of coconut milk should be added at a time, and the mixture should simmer for 20 minutes. With a teaspoon of oil, pan-fry the aubergine until it is just beginning to turn brown. When the curry sauce is at medium heat, the sweet potato, butternut squash, and aubergine S]should be added. At last, serve it should be served with coconut rice to complete the dish. 

He is a married man. Jeremy resides in London with his wife and their two kids. At Bath University, Jeremy completed a master's degree in engineering while also studying Biochemical Engineering in Spanish, but he frequently claims to know nothing about engineering.

Sadly, his father passed away in 2009, just as he was beginning his career in the culinary industry. Jeremy's career in cuisine was first inspired by his wife. Until that point, he was working as a marketing executive for Samsung Electronics.

She believed that Jeremy's skill in teaching and his love of cooking made the two the ideal combination for an "at-home culinary school" business.

In 2021, Jeremy was one of the chefs on the BBC's Ready, Steady, Cook. He is a regular on Channel 4's Sunday Brunch.

Ainsley's Food We Love, Blue Peter, Big Eats on the Food Network, and Nadia Sawalha's Family Feasts are a few more shows in which he has appeared. Jeremy also frequently participates on BBC Radio 4's Kitchen Cabinet.
