John Herdman and his wife, Clare Herdman, have been married for over two decades. They have been dating for almost thirty years.

The Canada head coach met 45-year-old Clare when he was 16 and she was 14.

John and his wife have stuck together ever since they started dating in their youthful days and traveled the world together. They have always been supportive and never gave up on each other.

The pair have welcomed two beautiful children into the world, a son and a daughter, Jay Herdman & Lilly-May. The siblings are both in their teenage years and share seven years of an age gap.

Herdman's 18-year-old son Jay is a pro soccer player who is a midfielder for Whitecaps FC 2 of MLS Next Pro. The athlete has also played in the EA SPORTS BC Soccer Premier League for Surrey United SC and joined the Whitecaps FC Residency program in August 2017.

When the manager was in his toughest phase, his spouse never gave up on him. His family fell apart, with his dad dealing with depression and his mom relying on alcohol for self-medication. His parents also went separate ways; fortunately, his then-girlfriend and her family became his foundation.

Clare has been in John's life from his hardship to a successful managing and coaching career. They have been through many highs and lows together but always support each other in every step. The communication, trust, and fondness the pair share have secured their bond for so long, and they have forever to go. The Herdams live at their cozy house in Vancouver with their kids.

Clare Herdman is the mother of two kids. She and her husband, John, became parents for the first time in 2004.

Their firstborn, son Jay Herdman, is 18 years old and an athlete. Jay is a midfielder. In September, he was named as a representative for New Zealand at the OFC Under-19 Championship.

Since Jay was born in Invercargill while John was a development officer with Football South, he is able to represent New Zealand. If he chooses to, he can play for England because of his parentage, but he declared that his heart belonged to his native nation.

Clare and John also have a gorgeous 11-year-old daughter named Lilly-May. They have nurtured their children with unconditional love and care but have chosen not to share every detail about their upbringing on the internet.
