Haart claims that her husband left her weeping at their Tribeca apartment. She also says her husband has been rude to their children. However, Haart’s case got ruled out by the Supreme Court of the State of New York.

The fashion designer has been pretty open about her rough times. In an interview with Elle magazine, she said, ‘Honestly, had it not been for my kids, I think the way I would have exited my community would have been to kill myself. The year before I left.’
Haart continued:’ I wrote in my diary almost every day: What is the most suitable way where I can hurt my kids the least? I decided I would starve myself to extinction because then community wouldn’t realize.’
‘I had committed suicide, and they would think I just had an eating disorder, which is not as bad of a stigma in my world.’

Haart was previously married to Yosef Hendler for almost 23 years. They share four children- Batsheva, Shlomo, Miriam, and Aron.
Her daughter, Batsheva, has established herself as a social media influencer. She married director Binyamin “Ben” Weinstein from 2012 to 2021. Haart’s other children split their time between their parents in Manhattan and Monsey.
