American professional boxer- Laila Ali followed in her father legendary boxer Muhammad Ali footsteps and built her own reputation as a boxing champion. At 21 years of age, Laila made her professional boxing debut in a bout against April Fowler on October 8, 1999. Within 31 seconds into the fight’s first round Laila had already knocked out her opponent. Since then onwards, Laila faced off many famous opponents in women’s boxing defeating Jacqui Frazier-Lyde, daughter of boxer Joe Frazier in 2001. In one year alone in 2002, Laila received three titles the Women’s International Boxing Association, the International Women’s Boxing Federation and Super Middleweight Champion given by the International Boxing Association.
