The incident happened on the 26th of April 2007 when the murderer shot the victim, a radio engineer, gun enthusiast, and private pilot, in their house in suburban Whittier with a .38 revolver while fan-firing. Everyone believed her story until the detective Shaun McCarthy convinced the gunshots were intentional.
