Luke Fickell Has Six Kids With Wife Amy Goecke And Son Landon Fickell Is Sophomore Offensive Lineman At Cincinnati

Luke Fickell has six athletic kids with his wife Amy Goecke, thus making it a blissful family of eight. Luke has two sets of twins.

Fickell is a proud father, as his children are engaged in sports. His six kids include five sons, Landon, Aydon, Ashton, Laykon, and Lucian, and daughter, Luca. He is constantly keeping track of his children’s games. 

Landon is the eldest child, followed by Luca, the only girl, and then Amy gave birth to two pairs of twins, Aydon and Ashton, and Laykon and Lucian.

Luke and his wife Amy dated for five years before getting married in 2000. Amy Fickell is a physical therapy specialist who graduated from a college in Colombus. 

They wanted to wait until Luke acquired a full-time managerial role and a more steady salary before getting married. Luke returned and spent a season working as a research student at Ohio State. In January 2000, he was brought on as an assistant coach at Akron.

That following month, Luke asked Amy to marry him and they married in the summer. Their marriage was built on football from the beginning. After two years at Akron, they decided to start a family. In 2002, Luke and Amy welcomed their first child Landon. The labor pain was too much for his wife, Amy, and she decided on only three.

But Luke insisted on having four. Doctors had Amy inducted before the Alamo Bowl trip since she was pregnant with daughter Luca during that time. This allowed Luke to attend, and shortly after the birth of their second child, he then left for San Antonio.

In 2007, the blissful pair were both astonished to discover that Amy was carrying twins for their third child when the physicians informed them of the news. His wife only wanted three kids, and now she will have four. “Well, you’re getting your four,” Amy told Luke. She gave birth to Aydon and Ashton.

Seven years after their first pair of twins, in 2014, Amy was pregnant with twins again, but this time it was unplanned. Laykon and Lucian arrived two months premature similar to her first set of twins.

Luke Fickell’s oldest son Landon Fickell is a sophomore offensive lineman for the Cincinnati Bearcats football. Landon is 20 years old.

Landon Fickell was born in 2002, two years after his parents, Luke and Amy, got married. The eldest of their six kids, Landon joined his dad at the University of Cincinnati.

The 20-year-old offensive lineman stands an incredible height of 6 feet and 4 inches (193cm tall), and his body weight of 132 kilograms (290 lbs) is ideal for an American football player.

The red-shirted gentleman has five siblings. His mother, Amy, had nine siblings and was the eighth child.

Since Amy was raised as the eighth of ten children in the tiny, one-stoplight hamlet of Spencerville, Ohio, having six children seems like a pitiful amount to her. She noticed that her son Landon barely talks football in the family, and he likes to keep the team talk and football limited to the team’s dressing room and field.

Joining his Cincinnati Bearcats is a huge milestone for him professionally and personally. Landon got the opportunity to be coached by his father, Luke, and the father-son bond got stronger over time.

Ranked among the 50 top offensive linemen in Ohio State, the Bearcats’ sophomore Landon attended Archbishop Moeller High School in a private, all-male, college-preparatory school in Cincinnati, Ohio.

He played at the high school under the guidance of coach Mark Elder, and the three-star recruit earned several honors playing for his high school team. Landon was awarded GCL Co-Offensive Lineman of the Year in 2020 and was inducted into first-Team All-Southwest Ohio District and 2020 Division I Second-Team All-Ohio.

Luke Fickell’s only daughter Luca Fickell is a varsity volleyball player who plays for St. Ursula Academy.

When his daughter Luca had a high school volleyball match, Luke occasionally checked his phone for an update on the score during a commercial break.

The 18-year-old recently signed with Indiana Volleyball on November 17. The university head coach Stever Aird revealed the new 2023 class recruits, and Luke’s daughter Luca is one of the three.

Ava Vickers and Ramsey Gary are among the other two the Hoosiers announced as the new addition to the team. Upon agreeing to a contract with Indiana Volleyball, Luca stated she was excited to join the team because of its upbeat atmosphere and winning mentality.

“I chose IU because I loved the competitive atmosphere in the gym and the family-like culture that Coach Aird, his staff and the players have created,” Luca said.

Fickell’s second-born Luca is pursuing a major in business from St. Ursula Academy, and she will graduate in 2023. With almost 700 assists, 249 digs, 253 kills, 54 aces and 82 blocks, she established herself as one of the top volleyball players in her college varsity volleyball.

Moreover, the gifted young athlete has been inducted into the 2022 First Team All-State, First Team All-Region and First Team All-Conference, achievements she should be proud of. Besides, Luca also feels fortunate to come from a family background that understands sports and athletics.

Luke Fickell’s second son Aydon Fickell plays high school football for Archbishop Moeller High Football. Aydon is 14 years old.

In 2007, Aydon and his brother Ashton Fickell were born to their mother, Amy, as twins. They are the first set of twins born to their parents. Aydon and Ashton had a premature birth eight weeks earlier than the predetermined date.

Aydon, age 14, is stepping in his father’s footsteps and family legacy as every other sibling of his five siblings is into sports. His elder brother Landon is playing as an offensive lineman for Cincinnati Bearcats Athletics.

Meanwhile, Aydon is continuing the same trajectory as his brother Landon, who also partook in high school football for Archbishop Moeller HS.

On November 2, 2022, Archbishop Moeller Football announced Aydon as the Scout Defense Player of the Week along with Carson Shroyer. Luke’s son wears jersey number #91 for the team.
