Lydia made her first trip with her father to a local racetrack. She competed in a dirt bike Supercross-style race with Jimmie.

 Many of Johnson’s former NASCAR rivals, including Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick, Clint Bowyer, and others, have already started mentoring their children as they begin their racing careers.

Since Lydia shares her father’s love of sporting, it appears that Johnson has taken on the role of mentor. Johnson and Chandra, his wife, were slow-playing it to see if their younger child was interested in racing.
