The Atlanta Braves of Major League Baseball are represented by Marcell Ozuna, a Dominican professional baseball outfielder known as “The Big Bear.”

He previously played for the Miami Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals in Major League Baseball. With the Marlins, he debuted in the MLB in 2013.

In 2008, the Marlins acquired Ozuna as a free agent amateur. In 2017, his breakthrough season, he won both a Gold Glove and a Silver Slugger Award.

He is a two-time MLB All-Star. He placed third in home runs, RBIs and fourth in batting average that season in the National League. The Marlins dealt Ozuna to the St. Louis Cardinals after the 2017 campaign.

Marcell Ozuna, a hitter for the Atlanta Braves, was detained for DUI early Friday morning in Gwinnett County. Reddit was the first place to report Ozuna’s arrest.

Later, CBS46 in Atlanta verified the arrest. Ozuna was jailed at 4:39 in the morning on Friday and freed on bond at 8:12 on the same day.

Ozuna has been detained for the second time in a row this season. When he was imprisoned for spousal abuse against his partner last May and initially charged with felony abuse by strangulation, he was on the Injured List.

Later, Ozuna participated in a diversionary program and was subject to a 20-game MLB suspension.

Ozuna plays outfield for the Atlanta Braves of Major League Baseball. He is a Dominican professional baseball player. The couple has three kids, two boys, and a girl.

Ozuna sustained a facial injury in 2020 after she threw a soap dish at him, prompting Guzman to be prosecuted with domestic assault. She allegedly entered a plea of innocence and received a stay-away order modified later.

The Florida Marlins acquired Marcell Ozuna as an international free agent with a $49,000 bonus on February 15, 2008.

He participated in 63 games for the Dominican Summer League Marlins that season, hitting.279 with six home runs, 43 batted in, and eight stolen bases.

He played for the GCL Marlins in 2009 and hit.313 with five home runs and 39 RBIs in 55 games. With the Class A South Atlantic League’s Greensboro Grasshoppers to start 2010, Ozuna was sidelined after six appearances due to a wrist injury.

He concluded the season in Jamestown when he returned there in June with Short Season. He played in 74 games, batting 258 with 22 home runs and 62 RBIs.
