In Atlanta, a 26-year-old Subway employee was killed when a customer became upset over his sandwich. One employee was killed and another was gravely wounded in a shooting at a Subway store in Atlanta, Georgia, reportedly because a sandwich had too much mayo.

The shooter who shot one Subway employee to death and injured another has been identified. Melvin Williams of Atlanta has been identified as the man by Fulton County.

On June 27, he was taken into custody and lodged in the Fulton County Jail. The deceased has been named as Brittany Macon, 26, and the living person as Jada Statum, 24.

The Atlantic Journal-Constitution said that Jada is presently hospitalized and is in a critical condition. Jada's five-year-old son is said to have been in the restaurant at the time of the incident as well.

Who Is Melvin Williams? 

Melvin Williams is the suspect who killed one Subway employee and injured another at a Subway restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia. 

Atlanta-native Melvin was arrested on June 27 and detained at the Fulton County Jail following the incident. At the Subway restaurant on Northside Drive, a shooting occurred on Sunday, June 26, at around 11 p.m.

According to reports, Williams started shooting because his sandwich had "too much mayo." The booking report states that he was taken into custody right away following the incident.

Williams' first court appearance on Monday ended with a refusal of the bond. Brittany Macon, the victimized employee, has been named. The injured worker is still healing in a nearby hospital.

After a client became upset over their sandwich, Brittany Macon was killed at a Subway restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia. On June 26, a dissatisfied client complained to a Subway staff that the sandwich had too much mayonnaise.

They pulled out a gun and shot the two employees after an argument broke out. Brittany Macon was shot by Melvin Williams, who also injured another worker.

A second victim, Jada Nicole Statum, 24, was recognized by family as the victim and was rushed to the hospital in severe condition. 

The shooter who attacked the two workers had previously visited the store several times. But this time, he became so enraged that he killed one worker and wounded another.

The case sparked a discussion on the controversial gun laws in the US. The majority of the gun violence in Atlanta this year has been the result of arguments, according to interim police chief Darin Schierbaum.

According to Macon's family, she started working at the Subway shop on Northside Drive around three weeks ago. She had recently worked at UPS.

Williams is also accused of killing 26-year-old Subway employee Brittany Macon. Williams is being held in the Fulton County Jail.

Police backed up a claim made by the Subway's owner that a dispute over mayonnaise on a sandwich was the catalyst for the shooting.

The arrest warrants do not include many additional details about the shooting; they merely state that Brittany Macon, a worker, was killed as a result of Williams' allegedly "knowingly and intentionally discharging a handgun."
