Michael Mmoh Parents and Inside The Family Upbringing
Michael Mmoh was born to parents Tony Mmoh and Geraldine O Reilly in Riyadh Saudi Arabia. Tony is a former player while Geraldine is a nurse.
Born on January 10, 1998, Michael is a professional American Tennis player. Standing at 6’2, he started his tennis career as a pro in 2016 by qualifying in his initial ATP level tournament held in Memphis.
Since then, he has been going strong and has had a great start to his playing career. Mmoh cracked the top 200 ranking for the first time in November 2016.
2018 would be the year when he got his first win against a top-15 opponent as he defeated the 12th-ranked Roberto Bautista Agut in Miami Open. That same year in October, he debuted in the top 100 ranks, coming in at 97th.
Mmoh has appeared in all four of the Grand Slams at least once. His best result in the Grand Slams is a second-round exit at Australian Open three times and a second-round exit at the US Open earlier in 2018.
Likewise, he has had first-round exits in the French Open twice and once at Wimbledon. Michael currently participates in the ongoing Australian Open and reached the second round when writing this article.

Michael Mmoh’s father Tony Mmoh and mother Geraldine O’Reilly first met in Saudi Arabia in the 1990s.
Geraldine was a nurse while Tony coached the Saudi Tennis team. Mmoh has a mixed ethnic background thanks to his mom and dad.
Tony Mmoh Was A Former Player
Michael’s dad Tony Mmoh was a former tennis player.
Born in Lagos, Nigeria, in 1958, Tony reached the 105th rank during his playing days. Having started with a humble beginning, he used to play tennis in a local club with his uncle.
He later moved to the states for further studies at St. Augustine’s University in North Carolina. There, he fell in love with Jordan and decided to name his son after his favorite player.
Tony has been a massive figure for his son and his love for tennis. Michael would play tennis from a young age, with his father guiding and developing him with the valuable knowledge he had.
Michael’s father is currently based in Riyadh and is active on Twitter under the handle @tonymmoh.
Geraldine O’Reilly Is Irish
Michael’s mother Geraldine O’Reilly is from Ireland. O’Reilly is a nurse by profession.
Aside from being an Ireland native, she also holds Australian citizenship. Geraldine is also a massive fan of Tennis, one of the reasons which aided the close bond between Tony and herself.
Michael has a close relationship with his mother and often posts sweet messages on her birthday via his social media platform.

Michael Mmoh hails from a family of four. He grew up with his sister initially in Saudi Arabia and later in the states.
The Mmoh family has a rich Tennis tradition, as Tony and Michael played the game professionally. Moreover, Geraldine and Michael’s sister have a keen interest in the sport.
After a few years in Riyadh, Michael’s parents decided to relocate to the states, and that is where young Mmoh got the opportunity to hone his skills. Mmoh trained at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.

Michael himself is in a relationship with his Croatian girlfriend, Klara. The couple announced their engagement recently on December last year via Instagram.
