Why Did Michael Symon Lose So Much Weight? His Diet Plan

The 52-year-old has an illness called Arthritis, a kind of nephritis that affects the joints, diagnosed back in his 20s.

According to the Arthritis Foundation, due to rheumatoid Arthritis (R.A.) and discoid lupus, Symon has been losing weight because, in order for medicines to work and show effect, he had to compromise his diet and consume less fatty and more green vegetables.

Symon is very fond of dairy items, particularly cheese and ice cream. However, they exacerbate the effects of his disease. Thus to cope with all these, in 2019, Symon came up with his own personal diet solution in a book he co-authored, “Fix-It With Food.” It is a cooking book featuring recipes designed to alleviate inflammatory response symptoms.

From “I’m going to have the ice cream, and tomorrow I’m just not going to feel great.” to “Now I understand I have to live a certain way to feel better. Instead of getting frustrated, I just get back on track now.”, he sees it all. Symon now advises people to eat lower-cholesterol foods, more salad, and avocados from an early age.

Michael Symon Height: How Tall Is He?

Michael Symon, aged 52, stands at an incredible 6 feet (183 cm tall) in height.

Moreover, “Michael Symon’s Live to Cook: Recipes and Techniques to Rock Your Kitchen” author has a body weight of 84 kg (or 185 lbs). Born on September 19, 1969, as Michael D. Symon in Cleveland, Ohio, U.S.A., he showed impressive growth in his height from an early age.

The mingling of Italian, Greek, and Eastern European ancestry could be one reason for his rapid growth in height. As Italian and Greek people tend to grow taller than the rest, Symon, who inherits those genes, is destined to trigger the rapid height growth stimulus.
