Does Mike Vrabel Have A Lazy Left Eye? Tennessee Titans Head Coach Eye Injury And More

Whether or not Mike Vrabel’s left eye is lazy has become a hot topic of discussion for many NFL fans. The topic of Vrabel’s left eye has roamed the internet for many years with many fans arguing whether he has a lazy left eye or not.

If we look at Mike Vrabel’s pictures from 1997 during his footballing days with the Steelers, it looks like Mike has always had a much more droopy left eye. Vrabel has never talked about it as he has never let that affect his playing career or his coaching career.

In 2021, the famous Twitter sports page, Barstool Sports posted a Twitter video with the title, “Does Mike Vrabel have a lazy eye?” a question that was asked by Stuart Feiner.

But Feiner was quickly shut down by his friend, saying he didn’t want to hear anything negative about Vrabel. Feiner defended himself by saying that he loves Mike as well but was just interested to know whether the player-turned-coach had a lazy left eye. 

Feiner’s colleague responded by saying that he is 90% sure that Mike doesn’t have a lazy eye but said that line in more of a sarcastic manner. And to date, it remains a mystery whether Vrable suffers from the lazy eye or not.

Nothing has happened to Mike Vrabel’s eye. His left eye has always been a little droopy, causing his fans to say he has a lazy left eye. 

Vrabel, in the past, has never talked about his eye condition, nor has he ever said if he suffers any problem with his vision. The coach though, might have seen many discussions about his left eye but has chosen not to comment anything about it.

But Vrabel’s eye rolls last night made quite a headline amongst the footballing fans. Many fans took to Twitter to write about the shade Mike threw during the Titans game against the Chiefs.

Mike was certainly annoyed by his team’s performance as they threw away the game in the overtime, which looked like was in the bag for them. After the game, Vrabel gave his brutally honest take on the Titans’ passing which cost them against the Patrick Mahomes Chiefs.

Mike Vrabel has never had an eye injury throughout his footballing career. The three-time Super Bowl champion, Mike Vrabel, remained away from injuries in his fourteen years of playing career.

But many have speculated that Mike Vrabel suffers from Amblyopia. Amblyopia is the condition of having a poor vision that usually happens in just one eye but less commonly in both eyes.

Amblyopia is more commonly known as lazy eye and the head coach of Tennesse Titans seems to suffer from this condition since his birth. But Vrabel never seemed to have any trouble with his eye condition as he went on to have an amazing career in the NFL.  

Mike Vrabel has not confirmed whether he suffers from a lazy eye. The 47-year-old NFL veteran and current coach of the Tennesse Titans has been speculated to have a lazy left eye which many football fans have also pointed out previously.

Vrabel’s lazy eye has been discussed in the past by various Twitter and Reddit users. In 2020, one Twitter had asked what was up with Vrabel’s left eye and many other NFL fans took to the comment section saying he was born with that condition.

One Twitter user even wrote that Vrabel’s eye reminds her of the famous cartoon Popeye whenever it seems to droop. Mike Vrabel has never publicly commented about having the condition.

Adults who suffer from the lazy eye often experience reduced vision which can’t be corrected later on by glasses or contact lenses. Many adults even try using patching to treat the lazy eye condition which Vrabel has never been seen using in his career.

So, till the time we don’t hear it from the big man himself, it won’t be right to say if he does suffer from a lazy eye.
