Where Is Paul Leslie Quirk Now? Christina Khoo Gek Hwa Murder Story

Last year, on January 4, Paul Leslie Quirk repeatedly hit his wife Christina Khoo Gek Hwa, aged 43, on the head. The weapon for murder was a pair of kali sticks and a hanger with which he kept stabbing her until she collapsed.

Afterward, he further stabbed her neck with a kitchen knife till he was satisfied. Not only that but, a poor dog was also killed by him on that day.

Christina's teenage son reportedly tried to prevent her murderer (Paul Leslie, his step-father) from getting his portion of the mother's property after the lady was beaten and stabbed to death by her second husband.

To detail, Paul adopted the 16-year-old boy after getting married to the boy's mother, Christina, in 2017. Paul is a podiatrist and now recently has been arrested for the crime he committed last year.

According to the sources, Paul and Christina lived together in the Sengkang condominium for a number of years and their wedding day was on August 8, 2017. Ms. Khoo was his second wife.

On the day of the crime, when police arrived at their condo at 12:07 PM, they discovered Christina to be unresponsive. She was thus pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

After beating his wife and fatally stabbing her, Paul killed their family dog and threw it from the third-floor balcony which was later found all drenched in blood. Poor Puddle.

Now, the reason behind doing so is- Paul Leslie, the Australian man who struggles with schizophrenia and he killed his wife thinking she was a monster that had to be sent back to the abyss. Furthermore, he also thought that the poor dog was also a demon, like her wife.

While he answered the door to the police, he was covered in blood and identified himself as "Jesus Christ" to the officers. He further stated that he was hearing voices that led him to kill his wife.

As Quirk has been taken into custody, he will return to court on January 24 after spending three weeks on remand at Changi Prison's medical facility for psychiatric observation.

While the initial charge was a life-long sentence, it was later reduced to 10 years keeping his mental illness in mind.
