Rapper Mystikal Arrested In Louisiana And Charges
The rapper from New Orleans, whose real name is Michael Tyler, was arrested on many felony counts, including first-degree abuse, domestic violence battery, strangulation, and robbery, and was taken to the Ascension Parish Jail on Sunday afternoon, July 31.
The 51-year-old is also charged with two misdemeanors: false imprisonment and criminal damage to property under $1,000. According to reports, the time of all five offenses was 9:21 on Sunday.
He admitted to sexual battery in 2004 and was given a six-year prison term. According to reports, the rapper and his two bodyguards forced his hairstylist into engaging in immoral activity in exchange for her silence over cashing $80,000 worth of fraudulent cheques from his bank account.
After being freed in 2010 and registering as an offender in Louisiana, Mystikal was put back behind bars two years later on charges of domestic aggression against his partner for breaking the terms of his probation.
He turned himself in notice after discovering that an arrest warrant had been issued for him about an alleged assault at a casino in Shreveport, Louisiana, and was held once more in 2017. After the 2017 accusations were eventually dismissed, Mystikal was granted a $3 million bond and allowed to leave jail.
