Ohio State head coach Ryan Day and his wife Christina Spirou Day are donating $1 Million to fund mental health research. The football coach has suffered from several mental health issues in the past.

Since 2019, he has served as the 24th and current head football coach at Ohio State University. For the first three games of the 2018 season, Day served as the Ohio State Buckeyes’ interim head coach.

After getting married, she decided to put her family first above her profession. She assisted Day in starting his profession once they were married. Nevertheless, Christina enjoys her life as a housewife, and despite their long marriage, they remain madly in love.

This Year the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and College of Medicine will receive a $1 million grant from Ryan Day and his wife to support mental health-related research and services. The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health will serve as the home for the Christina and Ryan Day Resilience Fund.

Ryan lives along with his family at his home in Ohio, USA. He didn’t have a good childhood, so he wants to provide everything for his children. Following the suicide death of his father, Raymond Day, on January 20, 1988, Day was raised by his lone mother, Lisa Day.

Day made his first public admission that his father had committed suicide when he was nine years old on June 5, 2019. Day described his transformation from a young child filled with resentment and envy to an adult who now recognizes the devastating impact that mental illness can have on both the individual and the family.
