Sahith Theegala caddie Carl Smith, who recruited him when he was an assistant coach at Pepperdine. He can only shake his head when he thinks about Theegala’s escape on the drivable par-4 15th in the second round of last fall’s Shriners Children’s Open.

 While serving as Sahith's assistant coach at Pepperdine, Carl Smith recruited him there and attended numerous of his sporting activities. Two of the main reasons Sahith decided to attend Pepperdine were Carl and Michael Beard, the head coach there.

At Pepperdine University, he was named an NCAA All-American three times. Theegala won the Southwestern Invitational during his senior year at Pepperdine.

Theegala became just the fifth individual to ever win all three trophies in the same year when she earned the Haskins Award, the Ben Hogan Award, and the Jack Nicklaus Award in 2020.

Sahith Theegala was born to his parents Muralidhar Theegala(father) and Karuna Theegala(mother). 

Muralidhar Theegala, Sahith's father, traveled to the United States in 1987 for graduate school, where he met Karuna Theegala.

Muralidhar made at least one trip to India every two years to keep the family in touch with its Indian roots. Vijaya Laxmi, Karuna's mother, moved to the US in 2001 to support Sahith and his brother while Karuna battled cancer.

Laxmi has lived with Sahith's family for six months every year since 2001. Sahith thus has strong ties to his Indian roots while having grown up in California.

Sahith  Theegala isn't married. Sahith has recently had amazing success in the game of golf and is on the road to gaining more notoriety and acclaim.

Golf fans are excited to watch the player improve in his career and win more titles as he has been focusing on improving his skills.

He is currently putting in a lot of effort and participating in various events.

He still has a long career ahead of him to accomplish great things and leave his mark. It seems that his friends and families expected more from him.

Sahith Theegala was born in Fullerton, California, on December 4, 1997, and is an American citizen despite being of Indian heritage

Smith's parents are Indian Americans in terms of both nationality and ethnicity. His parents, who were Indian immigrants and had previously resided in the nation, raised him in California.

Theegala made his professional debut in June 2020 at the Lone Tree Classic on the Outlaw Tour, where he tied for third place.

At the Sanderson Farms Championship in October 2021, he achieved his first top-10 result on the PGA Tour. He finished third at the WM Phoenix Open in February 2022.

He finished ninth at the Valspar Championship in March 2022. Theegala tied for second place in the June 2022 Travelers Championship.
