Sam’s spouse was a student-athlete and played tennis at Yarra Valley Grammar. She was the captain of the first tennis team at Yarra, and after graduating, she attended and played at Deakin University.
The former athlete graduated with distinction from Deakin in Exercise and Sport Science (AES) while majoring in Exercise Physiology. She also studied at Warrior One Yoga and Wellness to become a yoga teacher and joined the University of Melbourne to receive a Doctor of Physiotherapy in 2021.

The cricketer proposed to his lover after spending six years together, and they got engaged on the 3rd of May 2020.
