Sarah Mahmoodshahi: Meet Joe Haden Wife and Kids

Joe is a family guy who happily married his wife Sarah Mahmoodshahi in 2013. They are believed to be a high school couple who later progressed with the relationship and converted it into marriage.

They now have started a family with two children; Joey Haden, their first son, was born in September 2016, and Jett Haden, their second son, was born in January 2019. Their two sons give a resemblance to Joe's childhood and often are seen having great times on their parent's social media pages.

Sarah came to the limelight after marrying Joe in 2013. Despite her husband's popularity, she has also established herself as an internet celebrity with over 65k followers on Instagram. She had mentioned clearly on her Instagram bio that her husband is the best cornerback in the league, which alone is enough to prove her belief and love towards Joe.

It is fair to say that her family is everything to Sarah, as most of her posts are related to her husband or children. She is blessed to have a loving husband and two little angel-like sons. 

Sarah has a verified Instagram account and a sizable followers count to consider her an Internet celebrity, but she never publicly spoke about the financial gains. She is also not involved professionally in other sectors to have a documented net worth. However, on the other hand, her husband played for Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers in NFL with a hefty salary and signing bonuses. He signed his first professional contract with the Browns in 2010 after being selected by them in that season's NFL draft. The initial contract was valid until 2014; according to that, he received a sum of $10 Million as an annual salary for four years.

Seeing his extraordinary performance, the Browns again offered Joe a contract extension until 2017, when the annual salary was increased by $6 million yearly. After completing the 2017 season, Cleveland Browns released him, but Pittsburgh Steelers immediately approached him, and Haden signed a three-year, $27 million contract with the team on August 30, 2017. The signing bonus was reported to be $5.75 million.

Despite being in a new team with a new environment, he continued performing well, so he was offered a contract extension worth $22 Million in 2019 by the Steelers, valid until 2022. He earned roughly $7 Million per season from 2019 to 2022. 

He also owned a shoe store, The Restock, which shows his interest in shoe collection. Since he started collecting sneakers in high school, he claims to have more than 1,200 pairs. Most of those are Jordan and Nike, but his collection also has iconic shoes from pop culture. The sneaker Marty McFly wore in Back to the Future II, the Nike Air Mag, is on his list of favorite pairs. Haden claimed that he had purchased most of the shoes in his collection, though the four-year Nike contract had helped him stock up on shoes.

Haden was born to Joe and Zakiya Haden in Fort Washington, Maryland, on April 14, 1989, as the oldest son in the family. He has four brothers, and most of them have American football professionally. One of his brothers, Josh, played running back for Boston College, while his other brother, Jordan, played safety for Toledo.

Lastly, his third brother, Jonathan, played running back for UAB. However, his younger brother, Jacob, has a cognitive condition and has trouble speaking. For that reason, Haden fights against the derogatory use of the term retarded on behalf of Spread the Word to End the Word.

He started playing American football at a very young age, and since his early days, he has shown enthusiasm for the sport. He participated in collegiate football for the University of Florida, was named an undisputed All-American, and was a part of a squad that won the BCS National Championship. He was destined to become a great name in the history of every tournament where he competed.

The 2010 season became a pivot point in his career as The Cleveland Browns selected him in the first round of that season's NFL Draft. He showed the beautiful set of skills and game knowledge that led him to become an essential player on his squad and, most importantly, a recognized face of the league. 

Haden's entry into the NFL draft was significant, and many analysts predicted he would be selected in the first round. Despite being invited to the NFL Combine and passing all of the necessary positional drills, his speed of 4.5 seconds in the 40-yard dash, just average for an NFL cornerback, disappointed scouts.

He was also disappointed by his performance, but later, he revealed the average performance resulted from his back pain which had been bothering him for a while. Later, he ran the 40, 20, and 10-yard dashes and the short shuttle thrice during Florida's pro day. Overall, he improved his time, clocking 4.43 in the 40-yard sprint, 2.60 in the 20-yard dash, and 1.53 in the 10-yard dash.

Finally, Haden was chosen by the Cleveland Browns in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft. Haden signed a five-year, $50 million contract with the Cleveland Browns on July 31, 2010, with $26 million of that amount guaranteed. He completed his debut season with 64 tackles, six interceptions, and one forced fumble. Haden was chosen for his first Pro Bowl in 2013.

He was also named to his first All-Pro team and made the second squad. Starting in 15 games, he concluded the 2013 season with 54 total tackles, 20 pass deflections, four interceptions, and a score. In 2014, He finished the season with 73 combined tackles, 20 pass deflections, and three interceptions. Haden received a second consecutive Pro Bowl vote for team captain. Haden committed to the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2017.

In opposition to Artie Burns, he was chosen to start the regular season as the left cornerback. Haden made his Steelers debut against his previous team, the Browns, in the team's season opener. Later, in 2020, he was selected for his third Pro Bowl as Marcus Peters' replacement. On January 2, 2021, the team put him on the reserve/COVID-19 list, and then on January 18, he was activated. On September 21, 2022, Haden declared his retirement and said he would end his career by signing a one-day deal with the Cleveland Browns.

After ending his career in NFL on a high note, Joe has opened the door to pursue his other interests shortly. As seen in his Instagram feed, he is a great golf enthusiast and loves playing the sport. Fans have spotted him on multiple occasions where he was seen enjoying golf with his close friends.

He hasn't revealed his retirement plans yet, and will probably address this situation soon in the upcoming days. Apart from football and golf, he likes tattoos. Almost every visible area on his body is covered in tattoos. He has a muscular body, thanks to his daily workout sessions. He flexes his body and tattoos on his Instagram with several shirtless pictures while striking pozes of a professional bodybuilder.

He is a well-known figure in the NFL and one of the most talented players. His team will fill his absence in the upcoming game days. He might run a business from his NFL fortune or can live a lavish lifestyle along with his wife and kids for the rest of his life.
