But it doesn’t look like Scott is on the favourite list of his colleague Joe Buck. The two ESPN hosts had a feisty exchange last night, with Buck complaining about his lack of air time.

Buck’s irritation grew after Scott kept on asking questions to Troy Aikman as the two chatted for several minutes. Buck took one last swipe at Van Pelt before the weird exchange came to a close.

On April 30, 2023, Stephanie and her husband, Scott, will run the Big Sur 11-miler as part of the National Brain Tumor Society’s Gray Nation Endurance Team to help raise funds for cancer research.

Lila Van Pelt, age 9, is the first child of Scott and Stephanie. In a Twitter exchange from 2019, Scott mentioned how he tells Lila made-up Cindrella stories every night before bed and how much she enjoys listening to them.

On May 10, 2019, during a segment of ESPN called One Big Thing, Scott gave a short tribute to his daughter on her birthday. The sports anchor shared his feeling about being a dad for the first and, especially that of a girl.

The sports anchor mentioned how nervous he was about being a father to a baby girl and thought his life would’ve been much easier if it was a boy. But seeing her now, Scott couldn’t be much prouder of his little Lila.

Scott also encouraged other men who are going to be fathers for the first time to be a better version of themselves for their little girls and root for them.

2. Sam Van Pelt

Charlie Van Pelt, age 5, was born on August 28, 2017. The tiny tot is a big fan of the Maryland Basketball team and even has shown his support for them by dawning their bright red jersey.

But it looks like the two brothers, Charlie and Sam, did take quite some time to bond, as Scott once mentioned that Sam told him his little brother hits him and bites him a lot. That was back in 2019, so as the two are now older, they might have departed from some behaviors.

On January 15, 2019, Scott gave tribute to his father, Sam, who had passed away on that day 31 years ago. He encouraged everyone to let out their emotion rather than burying them deep into their hearts.

He said he would have loved it if he had the chance to introduce his kids to his father, and in the end moments, he urged his listeners to tell their loved ones how much they love them so they wouldn’t regret it later.

In an interview, the sportscaster showed the memorabilia his father once owned and that he keeps in his pocket. He thought it was better than getting a tattoo. In 2020, Scott moved from Connecticut to Maryland with Stephanie and their children.

It was reported that the reporter bought a Georgian Colonial-style $4.25 million mansion in March 2020 in Bethesda, Maryland. Seven figure salary certainly comes in handy when one goes house hunting.

The Van Pelt family were all together for the Christmas celebrations, which took place at their home. Scott was pictured alongside Stephanie and his three children, with the ESPN anchor holding his pet dog, Otis, in his arms.
