Christopher McDonald, aka Shooter Mcgavin, was arrested in 2017 and charged with operating a vehicle while drunk.
Shooter Mcgavin ran off the road and into a gas meter, causing a single-car collision. When taken into custody, McDonald allegedly told the police that he had portrayed Shooter McGavin in the 1996 comedy "Happy Gilmore."
The actor was convicted to 35 hours of community service and three years of probationChristopher earned credit for time served because he spent time in jail after his arrest.
He was also given a one-day jail term. He has also finished a course on alcohol education.
The actor entered a guilty plea to a misdemeanor charge of operating a vehicle when intoxicated by 0.8 or more.
In North Carolina in 2013, McDonald was previously detained for DWI. He was arrested in 2013 for drunk driving, according to TMZ.
