Byron Scott, 61, is the father of his two adult children, a son, DaRon Scott, and a daughter, LonDen Scott. Both are born out of his first marriage with Anita Scott.

Scott requested a divorce from Anita in March 2014 on irreconcilable differences. Their 29 years of marriage ended following their separation in June 2013. Despite the split, both couples decided to provide maximum support to their children.

Besides, DaRon, and LonDen, the couple also have an adopted son named Thomas Scott. 

DaRon Scott is the biological son of NBA Legend Byron Scott. He is the youngest child in the family.

Byron and Anita welcomed their youngest child in 1991 while the NBA star was a player for the Los Angeles Lakers. At present, DaRon is 31 years old, and he is already married. He is also the father to Scott’s two lovely granddaughters.

LonDen Brenae Scott is the only daughter of the NBA legend Byron Scott. She is the older sister of DaRon Scott.

LonDen is currently 35 years old; she was born in 1987, while her dad was winning many matches with the Los Angeles Lakers. 

Besides other kids of Byron, LonDen grew up in the spotlight. She has met several well-known sports figures because she used to go to games with her renowned father.

LonDen attended Livington High School as a child and received her diploma in 2004. After completing high school, she joined the Aveda Institute Los Angeles and graduated with a first-class honors degree in Esthiology in 2018. LonDen appears to have had a strong interest in horseback riding since she was a little child. She works as a trainer at the Ride With Me Academy in Los Angeles, California. If rumors are true, LonDen also runs her own LA-based beauty company, specializing in lashes, and skin care.

Thomas Scott is the eldest of his three children. He was adopted when Byron played at the Los Angeles Lakers between 1983 and 1993.

T.K. Carter, a well-known American actor and comedian, is believed to be Thomas Scott’s biological father. Since Carter has been on programs like The Bobby Brown Story, The Steve Harvey Show, and The Sinbad Show, you might already be familiar with him.

Thankfully, Carter posted a photo with a caption stating that Thomas Scott is his biological son, letting the cat out of the bag. 

Interestingly, the truth about Thomas was kept secret for many years. However, it was eventually made public, and most of Byron, T.K., and Thomas Scott’s fans now know that T.K. Carter is Thomas Scott’s father.

Thomas values both of his fathers equally. He has been a basketball coach for a long time and has previously worked with the Los Angeles Lakers. Scott also appears on the Buckets & Breakdowns podcast.

He is 40 years old and is already a responsible husband and wife. He is married to Kristen Scott and shares two daughters, Kenzi Simons and Karsyn.

Byron Scott married twice in his life. His first wife, Anita Scott, was with him throughout the Showtime era of the Los Angeles Lakers. 

After 29 years of marriage, the pair decided to split for unknown reasons. It is believed that Byron’s closeness with Basketball Wives star CeCe Gutierrez was the reason behind their separation. They finalized their divorce in 2014, one of the most popular divorces of the time.

Anita reportedly received millions in the divorce settlement. As per the Celebrity Mirror, Anita had initially requested $60K in monthly spousal support, but the agreement was finally reached at $7k per month.

She received compensation, including a $560,000 property settlement and $2.4 million from several bank accounts. She also got to keep a 2007 Mercedes SL600 along with other assets.

Byron’s kids, especially Thomas Scott, do not like her. In season 7 of Basketball Wives, she was blamed for publicizing her information.  She told another basketball wife star about a vital family secret that Thomas was not the biological child of Byron Scott when she was upset with her fiance’s family.

Cecilia has also revealed in the Basketball Wives that she has a son, but no one seems to know anything about him. 

Byron Scott was born in Ogden, Utah, on March 28, 1961. He is the son of Dorothy Scott and Allen Holmes.

Scott got his basketball genes from his father, who played college basketball on the Weber State Junior College, men’s basketball team from 1957-1959. Unfortunately, his dad passed away in the year 2014. Likewise, Scott’s mom, Dorothy, took her last breath in 2014.

The NBA star spent most of his time in Inglewood, California. He played basketball at Morningside High School and eventually got the opportunity to play for Arizona State University.

Scott was named First-Team All-Pac-10 in 1983 and Pac-10 Freshman of the Year in 1980. For the Sun Devils, he scored 17.5 points per game on average over his career. Nevertheless, the Arizona State Sun Devils retired his No. 11 in 2011.

After his junior year, he quit and signed up for the 1983 NBA Draft. He had a decade-long career with the Los Angeles Laker, winning three NBA championships. Scott was released in 1993 and ultimately signed Pacers on a free-agent contract.

Scott returned to the Lakers in 1996–97 and served as a valuable mentor for a group of players like Shaquille O’Neal, Eddie Jones, Nick Van Exel, and 18–year–old rookie Kobe Bryant. He retired in the year 1997, playing for the Panathinaikos.
