According to the statement made by the Gwinnett police spokesperson Cpl. Collin Flynn, Stanley Elliott, now 71 years old, was brought into jail from his home in February 2021 after detectives obtained information tying him to the deadly shooting.
The arrest took place only a few hours after investigators had made public surveillance footage. In the footage, we could see Elliott passing through a yard. The investigators named him a “person of interest” in the probe into the death of Anthony Collins. The latter was 44 years old at the time.

The security video of a man considered a person of interest in the shooting of another man was made public by the investigators in Gwinnett County.
Anthony Collins, 44 years old and from Lawrenceville, was found dead on Riverside Parkway close to McKendree Elementary School after the locals informed the police. They then came to investigate. Tony Thomas, who heads up the Gwinnett County bureau for Channel 2, was told by investigators about the murder of a person named Collins.

The occurrence occurred as he was out for a stroll in a well-known neighborhood for its dog park. Collins was reportedly discovered dead next to his vehicle with a gunshot wound, as stated by the cops. It was unclear why the attack had been committed.
