Taylor Strauss, a 26-year-old woman, was killed in an accident on State Route 176 on Friday, May 14, 2021, according to Cleveland police.

The 16-year-old was operating a 2016 Kia Forte when the collision occurred close to State Route 176. Before striking other vehicles, Strauss struck a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu after losing control.

Taylor was quickly admitted to a hospital but was already declared dead when she left.

Taylor Christine Strauss, age 26, was killed in a terrible car accident on May 14, 2021, at Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland. Her grandfather Rudy Strauss passed away before she did.

Around 2:14 p.m., 26-year-old Cleveland resident Taylor Strauss was operating a 2016 Kia Forte on SR-176 near the Spring Road overpass. The front of the Kia struck the rear of a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu before hitting another vehicle.

Strauss was transferred to MetroHealth Medical Center for care and later pronounced dead, according to the police. 

Taylor lost control of her brakes while driving under a bridge, striking a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu before colliding with several other vehicles. Taylor was treated right away at the MetroHealth Medical Center, but he soon passed suddenly.

According to the accounts, Taylor might have been on her way home when the tragedy occurred because the collision happened at six in the evening. Alcohol or other drugs that cause mental impairment were not discovered during the autopsy.

Taylor was an accomplished snowboarder and ardent sportsman whose charisma and smile could light up any room. She was born in Mayfield Heights on May 11, 1995.

She discovered a love for animals and followed it by joining Ohio University’s equestrian team, 4-H Reins and Ribbons.

Taylor was the beloved sister of Alayna and Gavin, the granddaughter of Ronald and Doris (nee Kitt) Longstreet, and the great-niece of Ronald (Patty) Strauss and Beth (Ron) Martucci. She was also the adored daughter of Todd and Tina (née Longstreet) Strauss. She was also a loving cousin and many people’s friends.

As Strauss was operating a 2016 Kia Forte close to the Spring Road overpass on SR-176, she failed to use the breaks in time and suffered a severe collision. While receiving treatment, she was pronounced dead in the hospital.

The woman was only 26 years old when she passed away. She was an active snowboarder who always believed in her ability to realize her vast aspirations. Her early demise crushed her family’s hearts and tore them apart.

Her funeral ceremony was held on Saturday following her passing at the McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. The celebration of her memorial service began at five o’clock and was streamed live on Facebook on the funeral home’s Facebook page.

People expressed their condolences to the affected family and friends on Twitter and Facebook live, encouraging them to remain strong and cope with the loss of their daughter.
