Clemson’s Cade Klubnik Parents Tod and Kim Klubnik, Have A Look At His Athletic Family

Klubnik is described as 6 feet, 2 1/2 inches, and 186 pounds.

Klubnik is categorized as a pro-style quarterback on his 247Sports page. However, he doesn’t necessarily want to be thrown into that box. There’s a misconception with pro-style quarterbacks, he added, that they can’t get out of the pocket.

But dual-threat quarterbacks, he argues, are perceived as runners first. After completing his sophomore campaign, Klubnik began receiving interest from college recruiters around the beginning of 2020.

This was around the same time Dodge sent colleges a compilation of the 191 snaps Klubnik had played. He did not start every game during his sophomore year.

Still, the footage he accumulated from alternating reps was sufficient to earn him multiple offers from Power 5 schools. In February 2020, Auburn was the first institution in the Southeastern Conference to offer.

Klubnik’s defining moment on the field came at the end of his junior season when he led Westlake to a resounding state championship victory against fellow power Southlake Carroll in January at Arlington’s AT&T Stadium. The game was against Southlake Carroll, and Westlake won 52-34.

Klubnik’s status came as a big-armed quarterback who can also move well bodes for Clemson’s offense. It is heavy on a run-pass option and was designed by offensive coordinator Tony Elliott to give Tigers quarterbacks flexibility. 

Klubnik went to the spring game that Clemson played on April 3. He is now shifting his attention to the Elite 11 finals, one additional season of running track, his senior year of football, and recruiting other prospects to join him at Clemson.

His performance in the state final grabbed the attention of Robert Griffin III, the NFL quarterback. He graduated from Baylor in 2011 with the Heisman Trophy.

Griffin again paid attention to Klubnik after his recent performance in the Elite 11 tournament at Southlake Carroll when he displayed his arm, legs, composure, and accuracy.

Klubnik’s parents are Tod and Kim Klubnik.

Bible quotes, packing lists, and boasts of winning a state championship—something Cade did in January with powerful Westlake High School—have all found a place on the whiteboard. According to Kim Klubnik, he has always been more of a visual learner.

Both of Klubnik’s parents earned their degrees from Texas A&M University. When Kim asked Cade where he’d go to school if he had his choice, even though he only had three or four offers at the moment, she sensed that Cade was drawn to Clemson University.

Reed, Cade’s brother, is a student at Yale and plays football there. Carson and Riley are his other brothers and sisters.

Macey Matthews and Cade Klubnik are currently dating.

Since they were both in middle school, his girlfriend has observed his development firsthand. She mentioned that it is pretty humorous to consider that she was a cheerleader at his first-ever middle school game. It was quite a memorable experience for her.

She mentioned that she had observed his development as a player over the greater part of his career. Macey also mentioned that they had a text message from when they were in the sixth form. In the text, Cade showed his wish to play varsity football just like his brother and perhaps have the opportunity to play in college.

Macey is very proud of Cade and how he handles himself, and she says she can’t wait till they are both in college so they can be together. She added that Cade has always had a natural gift for the game.

Still, she honestly thought that his trust, identity in the Lord, and his ambition to be better every day led him to where he is now. 

Both in their individual lives and how they relate to one another, Cade and Macey have placed a significant emphasis on their religious beliefs. Both were raised in Christian households when they were younger, but both agree that it wasn’t until high school that their faith truly began to take center stage in their lives.

They claim that ever since that time, faith has been the primary motivating factor in their relationship. According to Macey, it is the mundane activities that help draw them closer to one another.

The encouragement and support that Cade has received from Macey throughout his development, both on and off the field, has been essential. Macey believes that the things Cade is accomplishing on the field are fantastic but that the incredible guy he is outside of football is even more impressive.
