Joined Manchester City in 2003

After almost five seasons at West Ham, Sinclair was bought by Manchester City in 2003. But it was before the Arab money, so Manchester City was no better than an average mid-table club back in that era.

Like how he played for England’s national team in the 2002 FIFA World Cup, he initiated his career with Manchester City, playing on the left flank. However, once Shaun Wright-Phillips left, Sinclair was allowed to play on the right flank, which was his preferred position. After a poor run of form, he was released by the club in 2007.

Post Playing Career, Coach And Pundit

Sinclair served as Lancaster City’s assistant manager during his brief coaching career. He entered the game as a substitute in the second half of a 3-1 league loss against Clitheroe on August 25, 2014. Later ventured into media as a football pundit and worked for BBC and Talksport.
