5 Facts To Know On UVA Football Player D’Sean Perry
D’Sean Perry was a football player on the UVA football team.
Sadly, he passed away along with his fellow teammates Devin Chandler and Lavel Davis Jr, after being shot at by Christopher Darnell. He was 22 years old and played one season in 2018 on the UVA football team.
The University of Virginia president Jim Ryan is sorry and sad about this incident. President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden offered condolence for the victims’ families.
He left behind his brother. One of his friends Alim Hassam tagged him and said that Sean was like a brother to him. Alim is also and football player who is chasing Sean’s dream of becoming a great footballer.

Who Is UVA Football Player D’Sean Perry?
D’Sean Perry was a linebacker for UVA Football in his junior year. He was also an artist.
According to his high school president, Cliff Kling, Perry displayed his ceramics pieces at a 2018 student art show. He wanted his whole community to succeed and his classmates. After graduating from high school, Perry returned to mentor students, on and off the field.
He was born in Miami, Florida, and was in his early 20s but today he is not with us because of a shooting incident in UVA.

After graduating from Gulliver Prep High School, he enrolled at the University of Virginia. He used to play football for the Gulliver Prep football team and continued his legacy at UVA as well.
The 22-year-old played linebacker, defensive line and tight end at his high school under the guidance of his head coach Earl Sims. The year 2018 saw him named the South Florida Conference’s 2018 Defensive Player of the Year.
He was a great player, teammate, son, and friend.

Footballer D’Sean Perry was a promising linebacker and defense for the UVA Football team.
His high school head coach, Sims, said Perry “was an amazing soul that made his family and community proud.”
Jersey number 41 D’Sean played 6 matches for UVA this season of 2022. He managed to get an overall seven takes, where 5 of them were solo tackles.

Before the University of Virginia, he played football for his high school Gulliver Prep. He was promising in his junior year in 2017. In 2018, he became the South Florida Conference’s 2018 Defensive Player of the Year with a total of 89 tackles in a year, along with 16 tackles for loss.
In his Junior year, he was able to score 53 tackles along with 15 tackles for loss. It was a great start.
He played Under-19 football in the international bowl. Besides football, he played basketball for his high school. He is a great linebacker because of his coach Earl Sims. Sims was a 3-year letter winner at linebacker for Virginia.
2. D’Sean Parents And Family
Sean and Happy Perry are the very supportive parents of D’Sean Perry.
On November 13, they went to Charlottesville from Miami to see their son’s face for the very last time.

D’Sean’s father Sean was his great motivation. He always pushed him forward to chase the dream of being a successful footballer. Mom Happy was the pillar of Perry’s family. He has a sister name D’Shandra as well.
They are suffering from the incident and don’t want to talk about it in the public.
3. D’Sean Perry Was An Artist
Besides football, D’Sean Perry was interested in poems and music. He was an artist and a Christian.
His Instagram has a separate story section named Poetry. There, he shared some different kinds of poems (motivational, emotional, etc) and some popular quotes.
He loves music as well. He was often spotted with a headphone on. Rap and Motivational music were his favorite.
4. D’Sean Perry’s Nickname IS ‘D’
D’Sean Perry is a long name to pronounce, so his friends preferred to call him D.

D’Sean was named after his father. His father’s name is Sean, and people got confused while calling them. But, for most of his close friends, he was known as D.
5. D’Sean Perry Stood 6’3” Tall
D’Sean Perry stood 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighed 230 lbs. He was majoring in Studio Art but he never had a chance to receive his diploma.
