"In the light of decisions made by Henrik in relation to his private circumstances, it has become so much clear that he will not be able to fulfill certain obligations to Ryder Cup Europe that he had committed to giving prior to his announcement as Captain on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, and therefore not possible for him to continue in the role of Captain," Ryder Cup Europe said in a statement. 

Looking at this statement, it is clear that the rumors of him joining the LIV series are true. He was linked with the tour far before he took captaincy of Europe in March.

Many golfers, analysts, and related organizations believe that LIV events are modifying the game for their benefit. Hence, not everyone is a fan of the series. The next LIV event will be held on Donald Trump's golf course in New Jersey.

Henrik Stenson is currently in Europe as he was present in the recently concluded British Open. 

Also, the legendary golfer had uploaded a photo of him standing on the balcony of the Old Course Hotel, watching Cameron Smith winning the tournament. 

If the sources are to be believed, Henrik Stenson is no longer on the PGA or European tour. Along with Paul Casey, Dustin Johnson, and others, Stenson will be another name added to the list of golfers competing in the LIV series. 

Moreover, he could make his LIV Invitational debut in Bedminster from July 29. It is one of the two LIV events to be played on Donald Trump's golf course.
