What Happened To Henrik Stenson? Injured or Not
Henrik Stenson will join the LIV Invitational Golf Series, a Saudi-backed golf series.
The news about him dropping out of the Ryder Cup captaincy surfaced on the internet. In the light of this news, the fans are wondering if the player is injured. No, the golfer is not injured.
"In the light of decisions made by Henrik in relation to his private circumstances, it has become so much clear that he will not be able to fulfill certain obligations to Ryder Cup Europe that he had committed to giving prior to his announcement as Captain on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, and therefore not possible for him to continue in the role of Captain," Ryder Cup Europe said in a statement.
Looking at this statement, it is clear that the rumors of him joining the LIV series are true. He was linked with the tour far before he took captaincy of Europe in March.
Many golfers, analysts, and related organizations believe that LIV events are modifying the game for their benefit. Hence, not everyone is a fan of the series. The next LIV event will be held on Donald Trump's golf course in New Jersey.
