In 2002, the racer had to undergo surgery to set right a recurring knee problem.
The racer had also dislocated his knee before GP2 Monza Series in 2007. He competed in the race, and very few got to know about the incident.
Nevertheless, some fans had witnessed the way he got injured. They knew the racer was wounded as he walked using his left leg.
The same year, a Twitter user, @Xzibit187, had asked Chandhok about the injury incident. He tweeted mentioning the racer;
'@karunchandhok Have you had a serious leg injury? We Notice when you walk your left leg from the knee seems to angle out?'
The racer was quick to respond to his fan. Chandhok replied: 'Wow - good eye! I dislocated my knee before GP2 Monza 2007 and never fully recovered.'

Thus, the tweets provide evidence that Chandhok suffered a minor injury during the GP2 Monza Series. Moreover, it was so critical that the racer still had a lousy time recovering from it.
The F1 star raced until the 2014-2015 season; he last drove the inaugural season of Formula E for Mahindra Racing.
