Jeffrey Leon Bridges, an American actor known for his versatility, was diagnosed with illness lymphoma and was treated with chemotherapy, however, the actor was diagnosed with COVID-19.

Since his first appearance with his father, Lloyd Bridges, in the 1950s TV series Sea Hunt, the Oscar-winning Crazy Heart actor has been a staple in Hollywood.

He has starred in films such as True Grit, Starman, Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, and The Last Picture Show, and has been nominated for seven Academy Awards. 

What Illness Does Jeff Bridges Have?

Jeff Bridges was diagnosed with the illness lymphoma last year and received chemotherapy to treat it. During one of his chemotherapy appointments in January, the actor got COVID-19.

Bridges stated that he received a letter from the clinic indicating that he may have been exposed to COVID-19.

The Big Lebowski star says he was in the hospital for five weeks and his wife for five days.

The actor first revealed his lymphoma diagnosis in October 2020.

It all began when he felt something in his stomach while exercising, causing him to seek medical attention when he was informed that he “had a 12-by-9-inch tumor in his abdomen.”

Jeff Bridges Health Condition And Sickness 

In his health condition, Jeff Bridges revealed that he is currently in remission from cancer.

The actor was able to undergo a convalescent plasma treatment, which uses blood from people who have recovered from COVID-19, and his health began to improve.

Bridges began working with a physical therapist three times a week and “began taking small steps” toward rehabilitation, according to him. He is currently cancer-free and working on a new project.

But he stated that being able to spend more time with his wife Susan, with whom he will be celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary next month, their three daughters, and three grandchildren brings him the most joy.

Where Is Jeff Bridges Now? 

Jeff Bridges’s currently starring in and executive producing the drama series The Old Man. Touchstone Pictures and FX Productions are producing the series, which will premiere in 2021 on FX and Hulu.

His lymphoma has gone into remission, and the actor from The Big Lebowski appears to be doing well after his diagnosis. The new FX series The Old Man has been delayed for nearly a year due to Bridges’ desire to step away and the global pandemic, but it will now premiere in June.

The actor had nothing but respect for everyone at the studio that produced the series, who were more than ready to work with him, in a virtual press conference for the program (via The Wrap).
