Sal Valentinetti sang a jazz interpretation of One Direction's "Story of My Life" during his Week 2 Quarterfinals appearance in Episode 1113. He received applause from Mel B, Heidi Klum, and Simon Cowell. 

Sal was sent to the Semifinals in Episode 1114 because he garnered more online votes in the Dunkin' Save than Kadie Lynn or ThroWings.

Valentinetti performed "December, 1963 (Oh, What a Night)" with The Jersey Boys for the episode's climax. He gained enough votes to surpass Tape Face and enter the Top 5. In the overall standings, Sal came in fifth place, trailing only Grace VanderWaal, The Clairvoyants, Jon Dorenbos, and Brian Justin Crum.

Sal the Voice, an American crooner who earned the nickname "Sal the Voice" after winning the 11th season of the popular NBC competition show, is now on tour in support of his debut EP "The Voice."

In order to fund his Christmas album, which will contain original Christmas songs, he and his crew are releasing the EP. Additionally, a few singles from them are forthcoming and should be released later this year.
