Who Is Nicholas Hoffman? Arrested For Attempted Murder Of Classmate

Nicholas Hoffman is serving twenty-five years in prison after he was found guilty of attempted murder for running over his classmate on August 23, 2018. 

In November 2017, Nicholas Kyle Hoffman, then 17, was charged as an adult with attempted murder. According to the charging documents, the 16-year-old victim was pursued for stealing marijuana from Hoffman’s friend.

Prosecutors in Anne Arundel County claim Hoffman intentionally sped directly into the boy’s path before fleeing the scene. The fact that he sped away offered us a peek into his callous nature as he showed a lack of concern for the victim’s welfare.  

After Hoffman turned 18, he was convicted of attempted first-degree murder in August 2018. 

According to Patch in Edgewater, Maryland, the victim survived but had to be taken to a hospital for potentially life-threatening injuries.

Who Is Nicholas Hoffman? Arrested For Attempted Murder Of Classmate 

Nicholas Hoffman is a former student at South River High School who was arrested for the attempted murder of a 16-year-old with his car over stolen drugs.

According to the charging documents, the victim allegedly stole marijuana from Hoffman’s friend, leading police to believe he was targeted as a result. However, the victim made it through his ordeal, not without sustaining heavy injuries. 

The female friend who was filming everything thought he was just trying to scare him, so she went along with it. However, some believe she should be locked up in prison as well for not stopping her friend.

What Is The Jail Sentence Of Nicholas Hoffman?

Nicholas Hoffman of Davidsonville was sentenced to 25 years in prison by Anne Arundel County Circuit Court Judge Stacy McCormack during a hearing in Annapolis.

Hoffman was charged with attempted murder as an adult in November after police said they found a teenager in Edgewater with serious injuries after Hoffman intentionally struck him. At the time of the crime, Hoffman was 17 years old and a senior at his high school.

When the sentence was passed, Nicholas had turned of legal age and could be tried as an adult. The initial sentence was 10-18 years before it was pushed and finalized to 25 years.

Nicholas Hoffman Mugshot – Is He Lockedup Up In Prison? 

Nicholas Hoffman has been locked up in prison since his arrest in November of 2017. However, the irrevocable sentence was passed in August 2018. 

The hit-and-run happened at Fairhill Drive and Londontown Road in Edgewater around 3 p.m. on November 3, 2017. On August 23, 2018, Hoffman was tried and convicted of attempted murder in the first degree.

According to witnesses, Hoffman purposefully sped up with the intent of running over victim Logan Dandley, and a shocking videotape was released to the public that shows each detail of the horrendous incident. 

Logan escaped with broken arms and legs after leaping onto the windshield at the last possible moment to avoid being hit.
