\nHelen Simmons, 18, and Matthew Jones, 22 \u00a0were taken into custody by Huntington Beach Police Department in California in connection with a jewelry store shooting and robbery.<\/p>\n

For more than an hour, police chased the U-Haul truck as it made its way to Corona, then returned to the Anaheim Hills neighborhood before turning onto municipal streets.<\/p>\n
During the chase, two successful spike strip deployments slowed the vehicle and enabled authorities to do a PIT maneuver close to the intersection of East Canyon Rim Road and Va Corral at around 2:50 AM.<\/p>\n

According to Bretado, Helen Simmons is now being held on a $500,000 bond while Matthew Jones is being held on a $1,000,000 bond due to MCSO charges.<\/p>\n
The most serious crime is a felony, which carries additional severe penalties like a state jail sentence and high fines.<\/p>\n
