John Stearns has created worries amongst his fan as he suffers from a critical illness.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Stearns aka “Bad Dude” is a retired baseball player. He played<\/a> in Major League Baseball for the New York Mets from 1975 to 1984.<\/p>\n Stearns was a prolific catcher who has 46 home runs in his name. He is a four-time all-star in the years; 1977, 1979, 1980, and 1982.<\/p>\n After retiring from sports, Stearns served as the catching coordinator for the Seattle Mariners. He was also named the interim manager of Tacoma Rainiers, before being named third base coach under Lloyd McClendon.<\/p>\n John Stearns suffers from prostate cancer and is expected to recover soon. He was diagnosed with a dangerous disease in January 2022.<\/p>\n In April this year, Stearns fell and broke his hip. Earlier this year, he also underwent a hernia operation.<\/p>\n The New York Mets have said that\u00a0 Stearns suffers from a disease that could kill him and hope that he will get better soon.<\/p>\n Stearns’ career-ending injuries did not keep him away from baseball for a very long time. He was hired by the Milwaukee Brewers as a scout and minor league coach in late 1986.<\/p>\n Additionally, the first of many injuries that would plague him throughout his career ended his 1980 season.
