They were frightened and brokenhearted. They claim their connection with Fernandez was tense and that she forbade them and their kid from participating in Jose&#8217;s life.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>According to the prosecution, Fernandez allegedly confessed to striking Jose twice in the abdomen while being questioned.
