During the 1979 investigation, the house of John Wayne Gacy in Illinois was demolished. A new house was built on the site, which was recently sold in 2021.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

John Wayne Gacy was a serial killer who was also known as a killer clown after his crimes were discovered.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Gacy spoke candidly with his attorneys about the crimes he had committed, which included the rape and assault of several other men, prior to his trial.<\/p>\n

According to court records, the attorneys documented Gacy’s recollections for more than 60 hours between November 1979 and April 1980. Conversations With a Killer: The John Wayne Gacy Tapes, which was released last week, now has these available.<\/p>\n

The ranch of John Wayne Gacy at 8213 W. Summerdale Ave. in unincorporated Norwood Park Township, Illinois, was eventually demolished because of the number of victims still being discovered during the 1979 investigation, necessitating more searches.<\/p>\n

Following Gacy’s occupancy, a property built on the site of his demolished home has been owned by different buyers several times. To avoid attracting attention, the house has been given a different address.<\/p>\n

It was five years before someone bought the property after the truth about the area was uncovered.\u00a0It was eventually given over to a savings and loan company in 1984.<\/p>\n

It was most recently sold in 2021 for $391,000 after being on the market for more than two years. It was initially listed for $489,000. The value of the property continues to decline.<\/p>\n

Where Is John Wayne Gacy Now? Was He Executed?<\/h2>\n

On May 10, 1994, John Wayne Gacy was executed by lethal injection at the Stateville Correctional Center. He was put to death fourteen years after he had been sentenced. The court ruling occurred on March 13, 1980.<\/p>\n

He painted for the majority of his time on death row at Menard Correctional Center. He received the death penalty for 12 of the murders and life sentences for the other 21.<\/p>\n

Prior to the killings, Gacy had been arrested for sodomy and sexual assault. He was sentenced to ten years in prison at Iowa State University in 1968 but he only served 18 months.\u00a0<\/p>\n
