Morgan Pressel has joined NBC Sports as an analyst and on-the-field reporter. More on how the professional golfer’s life as a golfer officially started.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

As a 12-year-old, Morgan Pressel was the youngest player to qualify for the US Women’s Open in 2001. She was named American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Player of the Year in 2005 and received the AJGA Nancy Lopez Award in 2006.<\/p>\n

She went pro at the age of 17, and at the age of 18, she became the youngest-ever winner of a contemporary LPGA major competition, winning the Kraft Nabisco Championship (now known as the ANA Inspiration) and rocketing to a career-high fourth place in the global rankings.<\/p>\n

Morgan Pressel was born on the 23rd of May, 1988. She is a professional golfer from the United States who currently competes on the LPGA Tour.<\/p>\n

She was born in Tampa, Florida, to Mike Pressel and Kathy Krickstein Pressel, and attended Banyan Creek Elementary School, Omni Middle School, and Saint Andrew’s School in Boca Raton, a private school connected with the Episcopal Church, where she graduated in 2006.<\/p>\n

Following her mother’s death from breast cancer in September 2003, 15-year-old Pressel relocated to St. Andrews Country Club in Boca Raton, Florida, with her maternal grandparents, Evelyn Krickstein and Dr. Herb Krickstein.<\/p>\n

9 and 8 ?@MPressel<\/a> nearly won the 2005 #USWomensOpen<\/a> as a 17-year-old amateur, then went on to absolutely dominate the #USWomensAm<\/a> at Ansley Golf Club later that summer.<\/p>\n

Her coach is Dr. Krickstein, a retired physician and pathologist, and her two younger siblings have remained with their father.<\/p>\n

Her grandparents are the parents of Aaron Krickstein, a former top-10 tennis player and the Director of Tennis at St. Andrews Country Club, Pressel’s uncle.<\/p>\n

Madison Pressel’s younger sister played collegiate golf at the University of Texas and won the Symetra Tour in 2014.<\/p>\n

Morgan Pressel had the option of competing in the LPGA Drive On Championship but instead will be calling the action from the booth as the main analyst.<\/p>\n

The 32-year-old LPGA veteran has joined Golf Channel and NBC as an analyst and on-course reporter. While she will continue to participate in the LPGA.<\/p>\n

She will also work in television for a number of tournaments, including the US Women’s Open, Amundi Evian Championship, Solheim Cup, and PGA Tour’s Honda Classic, so it will be kind of like a trial year.<\/p>\n
