Sofia Whittaker is the wife of MMA fighter Robert Whittaker, with whom she has four children. Since 2009, Robert has been a professional MMA competitor.<\/p>\n
Whittaker began performing in MMA as a professional in 2008, when he was 18 years old, with Henry Perez as his coach. He signed with Xtreme Fighting Championships in Australia and made his debut versus Chris Tallowin.<\/p>\n
Robert won via TKO in the first round. From 2009 through 2011, he competed in the Cage Fighting Championships, where he went 6-0. In 2011, he was defeated by Hoon Kim in his debut bout. By the conclusion of 2011, he had a 9-2 record.<\/p>\n
In 2012, Perez invited him to compete in the inaugural season of “The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes,” which featured eight Australian competitors against eight British combatants.<\/p>\n
