On the other hand, his mother sent him to live with his remarried father in Oakley. He was a star athlete at Freedom High School in track and football.<\/p>\n

He returned to Richmond with his mother following his second year. He won three Junior Olympics titles in the hurdles at Richmond’s John F. Kennedy High School, where he also excelled academically and was a top-rated high school football player.<\/p>\n

According to ESPN, he received more than 12 scholarship offers to play college football. In August 2011, he verbally committed to the University of California, Berkeley.\u00a0<\/p>\n

After Cal receivers coach Eric Kiesau left the school, he reconsidered. Walker transferred to the University of California, Los Angeles, in Februray 2012.<\/p>\n
