Knox Gibson was born in New South Wales in 2007 to parents Jack and Kate Gibson, making him 14 years of age.<\/p>\n

Knox is the younger brother of two older siblings, Hamish and Arabella. In 2011, he was involved in a farm accident that resulted in the amputation of his arm.<\/p>\n

After being rushed to Orange Hospital, parents Kate and Jack were informed that Knox would need to be airlifted to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in Sydney. Kate’s sister was a nurse who informed them that an arm amputation was a possibility.<\/p>\n

Knox’s mother works for the NSW state government as a project officer.<\/p>\n

Knox’s mother accompanied Knox to Sydney while his father drove three and a half hours to meet them at the hospital in Sydney because the helicopter could only accommodate one parent.<\/p>\n
