Detectives currently think that a stranger was responsible for Zara Aleena’s death following what police called a horrific assault close to her home in Ilford, east London.

The Metropolitan Police announced on Monday that a 29-year-old male had been detained in the Ilford neighborhood on suspicion of killing her.

Zara Aleena, 35, was identified as the lady who passed away from severe head injuries following what police suspect to have been a random attack in east London.

Local resident Ms. Aleena was attacked while walking on Cranbrook Road in Ilford in the early hours of Sunday, police said. She was headed to Gants Hill station. She was described as the “victim of an attack by a stranger,” according to the Met Police. The news has reached her family.

At 02:45 BST on Sunday, paramedics arrived on the scene and transported Ms. Aleena to the hospital, where she eventually passed away.

They urged anyone who passed by the Ilford neighborhood of Cranbrook Road between the hours of 2 and 3 on Sunday morning to examine their dashcams to see if any footage of potential witnesses was captured.

Ch Supt Stuart Bell stated: On Sunday, June 26, at 02.44 a.m., the London Ambulance Service dispatched Met officers to a badly injured woman that had been discovered by members of the public in Cranbrook Road.

The incident that left Ms. Zara Aleena with fatal head injuries and the news of her death stunned Twitter although there was no indication of the usage of any weapons.
