She was always interested in athletics since she was in elementary school. There weren’t many sports for females, but Tara made it a point to participate in all of them.

There were no female sports teams at her first high school, but she participated in a variety of sports, including basketball, rec leagues, and pickup.

She used to play with both guys and females when she was small.
