Deyna Castellanos Partner: Inside Footballer’s Married Life

Deyna Castellanos is dating her Venezuelan girlfriend, Marina Martinez Steegmann. She met her girlfriend while playing professional football in Liga F with Atletico de Madrid between 2020 to 2021. 

On February 2021, the soccer star posted photos with Steegmann, confirming her relationship status. She shared a picture of herself and Steegmann wearing sunglasses and had captioned it, saying, “The secret of happiness is freedom, the secret of freedom is courage.”

Following the post, several fans of Castellanos commented and wished the couple their love life. While some of Castellanos’ die-hard male fans were heartbroken finding out their crush is currently dating another woman.

The couple was also spotted by the media attending a Spanish event. Similarly, Deyna’s Atlético de Madrid colleagues, including Aissatou Tounkara, Maitane Lopéz Millán, Leisy Santos, and Laia Aleizandri, were also present for the celebration. Along with her partner and her pianist, Héctor Manuel, Keka Martnez, a prominent Venezuelan, was spotted alongside Castellanos and Steegmann.

On March 2022, Castellanos shared some more pictures with Steegmann, where the couple celebrated in Madrid, Spain, with family and closest friends. Likewise, the two also enjoyed their holidays in Switzerland some months ago.

Venezuelan media had speculated that Deyna had married her girlfriend, all after she posted her images. However, the soccer star clarified, stating, “I haven’t gotten married yet ” in a Twitter response.

Deyna Castellanos is an advocate of equality. She is also a big supporter of the LGBTQ movement.

Marina Martinez Steegmann, the partner of Deyna Castellanos, is a beautiful Spanish woman.

Deyna Castellanos was born to Yrene Naujenis (mother) and Richard Castellanos (father). Her hometown is Maracay, Venezuela.

Castellanos said her love for football started at her brother’s training practice. Her brother’s coach had eventually spotted her talent.

As a child, she idolized Brazilian woman football legend Marta. As the Manchester City website quoted, the midfielder said, “My love for football started when I was five years old,” she recollected. “My brother started playing, and I was going with him to practice. I was running around, kicking a ball around.”

“A coach talked to my parents and told them I could play football. I said: ‘Of course!’ I didn’t know whether I’d like it, but I think I made a good decision.”

She continued: “My first hero was Marta. When I started playing football, I didn’t know much about women’s football. She was the best player at that moment and I started following her.”

Deyna Castellanos has always discussed the situation of her hometown and football in her country. She believes she can change the status of football in her homeland and woman in the game of football.

The Castellanos name and brand are becoming more well-known in Venezuela. She is now known as “Queen Deyna,” also the name of her website, and she has gained hundreds of new fans daily on her social media accounts.
