On Saturday night, Jose Chameleone was scheduled to perform at a concert in Randburg, South Africa. Last night, videos of Ugandans burning posters bearing Chameleone’s face went viral on the internet.
The men who set fire to the posters advertising Chameleone’s event kept shouting at the top of their lungs, threatening the singer that his show would be canceled.

Dr. Jose Chameleon, a South African afro-pop musician, was temporarily detained at a police station for reportedly neglecting to perform at a gig in 2015 after receiving payment of 40,000 Rands from a promoter identified as Zaina.
Zaina handed Chameleon the money, but the controversial Leon Island chief broke the arrangement and escaped to Uganda, as most musicians do.

According to South African sources, Zaina initiated a case against Chameleon and instructed police to arrest him the moment he returned to the country.
Chameleon arrived in Santon, South Africa, after nearly seven years, to play another show. According to snoops in Madiba’s land, he was swiftly hauled away and taken to a local police station the instant he landed in South Africa.

Jose is married to Daniella Atim Mayanja, one of Uganda’s most well-known socialites. In 2007, they tied the knot.
Abba Marcus Mayanja, Alfa Joseph Mayanja, Alba Shyne Mayanja, Amma Maynaj, and Xara Amani Mayanja are the couple’s five children from their marriage.
Because they were born to supportive parents, their children were able to pursue their passions at a young age. Abba Marcus is a Ugandan junior swimming champion who also recorded his first single “Game Over” under the moniker T-REX; Alfa Joseph.
Chameleon married Atim Daniella Mayanja in holy marriage at Lubaga cathedral on June 7, 2008, after divorcing his previous wife Dorotia with whom he has one daughter Ayla Mayanja.

Who Is Dr. Jose Chameleon? Biography
Jose Chameleone is the most well-known and successful Ugandan musician of the twenty-first century, with albums like Mama mia, Kipepeo, and Shida za Dunia selling millions of copies.
He began his music career in the early 1990s with the Ogopa deejays, a Kenyan record label at the time, and with his talent, he was able to gain love and reputation throughout Africa.
Chameleone’s music combines Ugandan folk music, rumba, zouk, and Central African reggae. He has garnered a number of awards (about 20) and remains the country’s most notable musician in the twenty-first century, with a large fanbase beyond Africa.
