Prior to joining the Brennan Center, Goitein worked as a trial attorney in the Department of Justice’s Federal Programs Branch and as counsel to Senator Russ Feingold, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee’s Constitution Subcommittee.
Goitein attended Yale Law School and clerked for the Honorable Michael Daly Hawkins of the Ninth Circuit of the United States Court of Appeals.
