As per several reports, the Iraqi social media influencer was shot dead by her brother on the 7th of March, on a read near the Erbil International Airport in the Iraqi region of Kurdistan.
Reports claimed that the TikToker was killed due to posing in clothes that showed her midriff or smoking. However, the officials are yet to confirm the exact reason behind her murder.

The Iraqi TikToker had 48k followers on the platform. She is recognized by her nickname Mari/Maria among the viewers. She uploaded smoking videos, photos on crop tops, etc., which is defined as haram by the Islamic society.
The TikToker was murdered by her brother in the name of honor-killing, which is quite a familiar term in the Islamic extremist society. May her soul rest in peace.
