After completing Edwards Military Institute in North Carolina and Greenville College, he began working for the Caterpillar Tractor Company in Illinois.

He married Lilliam, his wife. Machado and his wife were also active members of the American Cancer Society, which recognized them for their contributions this year.
Machado previously married his girlfriend Gloria Machado. Unfortunately, she died in a surfside collapse at the age of 71.
According to Miami-Dade Police, her body was located on July 7, 2019, and she was recognized the next day.

He also grew Gus Machado Ford into one of the largest in the company’s history and died at the age of 87, according to the tweet. The cause of Machado’s death, however, remains unknown.
Machado was born in Cuba and first came to America in 1949. Gus Machado Buick, which he bought in 1982, was his first franchise, and Gus Machado Ford was his second.
