There have been no reports regarding actress Christina Chong leaving the Star Trek spin-off show Star Trek New Worlds. So all the fuss that is going on on the internet about her quitting the show is not true.

Chong is one of the main casts who portrays the role of a progeny of villain Khan Noonien Singh La’an Noonien-Singh, who is also the newly designated chief of Enterprise’s security.

She was the sole survivor of a Gorn attack as a youngster. In episode four of 10 episodes-first-season, her character La’an Noonien-Singh assists in evacuating the survivors and realizes that this is a Gorn trap. 

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Chong revealed that her upbringing added an uncomfortably pertinent characteristic to her depiction as La’an. Her emotional bond to the character serves as a wonderful reminder of why the varied and inclusive ideas that Star Trek illustrates continue to appeal to viewers worldwide.

Season One had a 98 percent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and the promise of a second season is another wonderful delight for Star Trek fans. And Chong will reprise her role. 

Talking with Screen Rant, she said, “Season 2, oh my gosh! I didn’t think it could get better than season 1, but guess what? I can’t say anything about it other than it’s going really, really well!”

Christina Chong is not married, but she has been with the Spanish model and actor Iggy Blanco for quite some time. 

In June 2018, Blanco posted a picture of the couple enjoying swimming in a waterfall with the caption, “My garden pool… :)”. Chong replied in the comment, “you’re gonna build us one like that, right?!”
