Marco Fu wife Shirley Fu is the childhood friend of the snooker player. Marco has been married to Shirley for 11 years.
Though they were friends from a young age, the love didn’t blossom until 2008, when they first started dating. Three years later, they tied the knot. And 11 years into their marriage, Marco and Shirley have been parents twice to two cute girls.
Nicknamed Cue-Ma-Fu, Marco developed a passion for snooker at nine after his father introduced him to the game while they lived in Vancouver, Canada.
Last year his match against Ronnie O’Sullivan drew a world-record crowd of 9000 at the Hong Kong Coliseum. 2022 also marked the year for the comeback of the 45-year-old after two years of absence.

In an interview with South China Morning Post in 2011, Marco revealed he and Shirley had been friends since their youth, but it wasn’t love at first sight. The snooker player said he only developed feelings for Shirley years later when he had already become a household name in his country.
The couple dated for three years prior to their marriage, with Marco confessing his feelings for Shirley in 2008, the year he won his first ranking title in the Grand Prix.
According to IMDb, Shirley has a Master’s degree in supply chain logistics and for most of her marriage with Marco has tried to remain away from the public limelight.
Previously, in his interview, Marco talked about how supportive Shirley had been about his playing career. The doting husband is always seen posting sweet tributes to his better half on their anniversary and Mother’s Day.

In their free time, Mr and Mrs Fu are seen taking to the tennis court and were previously seen attending Wimbledon with their daughters.
If Shirley makes time to attend her husband’s games then she also makes time to attend concerts of several bands with her two daughters, with the 12-member boy band, Mirror, being the favourite of the Fu family.
